If you've had problems logging in to your account on the web to view your bookmarks at my.foxmarks.com, to change your account settings, or to be mailed a temporary login link, we wanted to let you know that we've found and fixed your problem.
It was, unfortunately, a nasty character encoding problem that affected all users that had non-English characters in the first or last name fields of their accounts. Some users wrote to us letting us know they were having such problems, and we manually fixed their accounts to remove the problematic characters while we were fixing the underlying problem. Those users can now change their accounts back by going to our home page and clicking "Manage My Account."
Regardless, we're pretty sure we've fixed the problem. If you see any remnants of it, please let us know.
Foxmarksbrowser doesn't work with Opera 3.0 Mobile on my Nokia 6280
ReplyDeleteCan't open the bookmark folders.
Foxmarks seems to have problems working with new versions of Firefox. It didn't seem to work well with Firefox 3.0. Version 3.0.1 seemed to fix the problem. Version 3.0.3 of Firefox seems to have the same problem that version 3.0 had.
ReplyDeleteHere is a suggestion. In the future, allow Foxmarks to store a copy of your bookmarks in a bookmarks folder on your computer's hard drive. If you can't load your bookmarks from the Foxmark server, Foxmarks will automatically load your bookmarks from the bookmarks folder on your hard drive. Most people will never even know Foxmarks is having a problem, and there will be no more complaints.
ReplyDelete@Steven Sherez: Firefox already stores a local copy of the bookmarks, so I'm not sure why we'd want to duplicate that effort in Foxmarks as well, unless there's something I'm missing...?
ReplyDeleteI just visited fro the first time, and it seems that all the graphics have gone from everywhere except the blog. What happened?
