Foxmarks named one of the "Best Apps of 2006"

We here at Foxmarks are modest folk, quietly tending to the servers and software that make your life just a little bit easier by keeping your bookmarks synchronized wherever you browse. We're not ones to toot our own horns -- unless someone else toots 'em first. Which now they have. The esteemed Lifehacker has today named Foxmarks one of the Best Apps of 2006:
... at least 3 of the LH editors agree that Foxmarks is indispensable for seamless synchronization of your bookmarks from home to the office or from laptop to desktop or any number of computers.

It's quite an honor to be recognized in the company of products like Google Calendar, Parallels, and Windows Vista (!). We'll be running victory laps and performing parade-float waves for another while yet -- at least until the espresso buzz wanes. Thanks, Gina!

  1. You guys really are amazing. I expected some fee after using you for a while. Also I expected it to be slow and not be as easy as 1-2-3. I am sorry for my pretenses, I was wrong. You may call me leery but how long will this free service continue? Thank you and keep up the good work!

  2. @James:

Thanks for the (leery) support. From our perspective, we're just warming up, getting our groove on, etc. Barring the unexpected, you'll be syncing into the next century. (Sorry; couldn't resist the alliteration).

  4. Just started using Firefox and Foxmarks - excellent - worthy of the "Best Apps" accolade.

Tried a couple of other bookmarks organisers but this one is best - apart from the ability to edit/add bookmarks in MyFoxmarks - sadly I have to use IE at work so that would be a huge benefit.

    Well done.

  5. Yes, totally agrees. Foxmarks beats Google Browser sync on bookmark-sync. Thank you, Todd.

  6. Excellent product!

I am a strong believer in showing my appreciation via the marketplace. As Jesus said in Luke 10:7 "...the worker deserves his wages..."

So how are you paying the bills? And how can the users of Foxmarks help you succeed?

    Jim

  8. Guys, many years ago i had this exact idea but being a marketer I did not have any knowledge of how to make this happen!

I was amazed, relived and so pleased to see that someone had a similar idea and then built a brilliant app.

    THANK YOU!

so when err will you be giving us a sync tool to download from 'other' browsers so we can manage from work, home, skool etc.!!

    A great many thanks Clinton.

Other browsers? What other browsers? ;-)

Seriously, we're very interested in allowing interoperability amongst browsers. Stay tuned.
