We're pleased to announce that Foxmarks 1.0.1 is now available for testing. What's more, we feel that Foxmarks is now sufficiently stable and reliable to merit a 1.0 version number. If it continues to prove itself in the field, we'll release this build to Mozilla for deployment on the add-ons site next week.
Perhaps the most significant addition in this release is a defensive one: if your bookmarks disappear on you (for any of a host of reasons, none of them related to Foxmarks), Foxmarks will now detect that disappearance instead of slavishly syncing your unintentionally slimmed-down set to the server and from there on to your other computers. If Foxmarks detects that some kind of foul play has transpired, it slams on the brakes and requires that you confirm before synchronization continues.
So... happy syncing! As always, please let us know if you see any odd behavior.
Just a big thanks for this great extension.
ReplyDeleteI used to use only delicious for all my bookmarks. However, it did not really work (too slow and no "offline" capabilities).
Now, I use 90% of the time Foxmarks and 10% Delicious.... much better.
Big tx
It would be useful with a change log from 0.89 to 1.0.1.
ReplyDeletePS: Good work, Foxmarks is a VERY good alternative to Delicious.
What's about SSL certificate? why sync.foxmarks.com have certificate of sunc.foxcloud.com?
ReplyDelete[...] [...]
ReplyDeleteDo you have any plans to synch IE7? My default browser is the superior FireFox while I keep IE for certain and specific processes. Since it does have specific tasks I would like to sych these between machines.
ReplyDeleteI know about Chipmark, etc...but I love Foxmarks and would prefer working through this medium.
What say you?
How about Minfield 3.0?
ReplyDeleteDo you have any plans?
