Planned Downtime: We're Moving!

Allan and the Elves are planning to turn off the Foxmarks service at 10am PDT, Saturday, July 28, 2007 so that they can move the service to a new colocation facility. They anticipate that total downtime will not exceed 6 hours, but there's always some risk in these activities.

We'll post again just before the service goes down, and once more when we believe it's back to normal. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience.

  1. We're pushing DNS changes now, so once those have propagated (over the next hour or so), bookmark synchronization will be frozen, and my.foxmarks.com will redirect here.

Yes, the sync server is alive again in its new home. The other services should start coming back alive momentarily.

We're still working on bringing back My Foxmarks -- it's proving a bit recalcitrant and telling everyone that they have no bookmarks on the server. Is that what you're referring to?

If that's it, not to worry -- it's a temporary condition. If it's something else, please contact customer support.

  6. Guys, I am not getting this. I uninstall ed FF, installed newest on, then installed Synchronizer, no, "Network Time-out..."

I do not have any firewall, no proxy, 3-rd option: ur server down. JUST out of curiosity, f how long? NOT bitching about it,when it works it was great.
