Downtime for Beta Users

The good news is that our beta testing has been going extremely well. Thanks to the many users who agreed to be guinea pigs for our next generation synchronizer product, we've uncovered and fixed a handful of bugs, and we're now nearly ready to certify the system as ready for public use.

In preparation for deployment (hopefully this weekend!), we'll be repositioning various server components over the next 48 hours. Beta users will likely see some periods of downtime as we make these changes. Thanks for your patience as we make these final configuration changes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment here or send us email.

  1. Wow, this is sounding awesome? Have we hit setbacks, or it the beta testing officially over and the new version out?

  2. Well, not this past weekend, but we're still on track for a full release soon--we're just adding the final polish to the servers so we're all set when everybody switches over. Stay tuned!

  3. I haven't been able to sync for days. I can log into My Foxmarks, so I know it's not my password that's bad. I keep getting unresponsive script errors. I'm running the latest Firefox 2.x with the latest beta of Foxmarks on an OSX 10.4.7 MacBook Pro. Is this related to the server reconfiguration?

  4. @armchairdj:

No, what you describe is unlikely to be related to the work we've been doing. If you press the "Continue" button, does the sync eventually complete?

If not, please contact us at support@foxmarks.com for more direct assistance.
