Last night we released
Foxmarks 2.0.47.4 to the Mozilla Add-ons site. This is a
minor upgrade that focuses primarily on smoothing out the process for people upgrading from Firefox 2 to Firefox 3, which we expect
many people will be doing today. Go Firefox 3!
There must be a REAL big swarm because I can't get the Firefox 3 download to even start. T__T
ReplyDeleteWell - all went well for me... Expect a HUGE increase in client base as FF3 is not supported by Google browser sync.
ReplyDelete30 seconds to d/l install and sync across 3 machines including a mac and win XP - thanks team
Same problem here. I installed v2.0.46.9 (http://jezebel.foxmarks.com/foxmarks-2.0.46.9.xpi) for the time being.
ReplyDeleteI upgraded to Firefox 3.0 and foxmark 2.0.47.4. But foxmarks dosn't work. It stopped at this moment who the sync-file ist download. No syncron. What is to do?
ReplyDeleteRegarding what Paul said - I tried installing from v2.0.46.9 and got exactly the same error again!
ReplyDeleteFF3 and latest foxmarks...all worked fine before...sync fails, with this in log:
ReplyDeleteException in AcceptNodes: Error: Places error calling function getNewQueryOptions() {
[native code]
} with args [] Original error: [Exception... "Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype object" nsresult: "0x8057000c (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_OP_ON_WN_PROTO)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://foxmarks/content/foxmarks-places.js :: Call :: line 101" data: no]
Can confirm this - after disabling Tor Button it works fine, reenabling Tor makes Foxmarks stop syncing. Thanks for the hint !
ReplyDeleteoh and if I click on the FOXMARKS OPTIONS button in the ADDON WINDOW this window crashes... the main firefox window is still functional but not the adddon one.
ReplyDelete"The problem is caused by an incompatibility with the Tor Button "
ReplyDeleteThis was the same error me too
it must be incompatibility with something else too because I don't use Tor Button
ReplyDeleteproblem solved after deinstalling Firefox and clean install Firefox 3. I had "Chinese Perapera-kun: Chinese Popup Translator" installed... on their website it says "This add-on is for older versions of Firefox" ... might this have caused the problem?
ReplyDelete@Todd,
ReplyDeletethank you for pointing me to the WIKI. This did the trick.
Now I'm a happy foxmarks-user with Firefox 3
regards
Bei mir hat Firefox 3.0 und Foxmarks nicht funktioniert.
ReplyDeleteDanke für den Hinweis mit dem Deaktivieren vom Tor Button!
Since I installed Firefox 3.0, Foxmarks didn't work anymore. I couldn't synchronize my Bookmarks. Thank's for the hint, to deactivate the Tor Button! Now it works again.
Had the tor button bug here too. Please fix it, it took me a few days to figure it out.
