Access Your Bookmarks From Your iPhone in Style

We just made it easier to access your bookmarks from your iPhone! Visit my.foxmarks.com on your iPhone or iPod Touch and you will be served up a version of the site that looks like a regular iPhone app. We've also added a handy search feature that's especially useful if you've got a large set of bookmarks.

When you're on my.foxmarks.com, don't forget to add it to your iPhone's home screen for easy access in the future (click on the "+" button, and then select "Add to Home Screen").

Just so you know, we are also exploring a version of Foxmarks for Safari. A Foxmarks iPhone app that syncs all of your bookmarks over the air is also a possibility, so stay tuned.

By the way, we realize that the iPhone is not the only mobile web browser in town. my.foxmarks.com will also auto-display a mobile version for other phones too. Give it a try and let us know how it looks.

Check out Lifehacker's coverage of Foxmarks on the iPhone.

  1. Would you be considering creating a foxmarks version for windows mobile?

  2. When I add the page to my home screen I don't get the nice icon like in the example image. Mine just looks like a screen capture of the page.

  3. @Seth McFarland: The icon is coming soon; we hope to deploy that change in the next week or so.

  4. My bookmarks aren't showing up properly. I have a toolbar bookmark folder and for some reason only two of the folders in that folder show up. If I go to classic view they're all there.

  5. Yup, that was it. I do wonder, and this isn't a criticism, but if using an iphone and bookmark syncing is enabled in itunes, why would we need this particular feature when bookmarks are already in Safari via itunes in the exact same format.

  9. Foxmarks cannot sync after I upgraded Firefox to 3.0.2. The log shows 'Cancel by end-user.'. The password cannot be stored and OK button has no behavior.

  10. Excellent feature! Working fine on my Ipod Touch 2G!

Now, I'm waiting for the Safari version for OS X!

    Keep up the good work!

  11. @Fisher: That's usually caused by a corrupt Firefox profile. Try creating a new Firefox profile and see if that works for you: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile

  12. This web app is cool. This is what i needed for my iPhone. But Hey guys can you please release a native app for iPhone so that just like as in Firefox I synchronise them, I can do the same with my safari in iPhone.

But really a great job guys..
I always loved foxmarks in firefox. Now its nice to see it for my iPhone too..

I raise a glass of beer to you all ;-)

    Thanks

  13. This is great guys! I have been trying to figure out a way to get all my bookmarks to my iPhone. Ive been using your older mobile page but this interface is much better. great work. also, i second the native app idea if thats a possibility, of course once foxmarks for safari is released that would pretty much solve the sync problem. I cant wait for that.

Anyway, thanks for this service, I use it all the time at home, work, and on the many computers i use at school. keep up the good work.

  14. This is a great work-around, but logging in is a pain and any Javascript bookmark ("post to delicious", "subscribe in Google Reader") etc are broken coz you have to load a new webpage first.

If you could write something that automatically exported from Firefox to IE (say on exiting Firefox), then iTunes would take care of the sync over to the iPhone

  16. I know it's not even available yet, but do you have any plans to create a specific app for Google Android? If you could create a beautiful looking and using app for that I think I'd be in heaven :) and I'm sure many future Android users would agree.

  23. Having foxmarks also sync Safari bookmarks would be incredible. The iPhone-iTunes-Safari syncing thing is a real problem for me. However, this little shortcut is definitely going to help. Thanks!

  26. Great stuff guys! Foxmarks is my TOP plugin for firefox syncing between my different pc's and mac.

Please do the synctool for safari as well, as I would love to start using it on my mac again, but currently the other synctools are too much of a hassle so I have to stick with firefox here.
[although FF is a great browser too...]

  27. Is there any chance of an iPhone App that will sync my Foxmarks with my built in Bookmark list in Safari?

Logging in all the time and not have them accessible through Safari is not ideal

  28. Either or a Safari plug in or an iPhone app that syncs my iPhone bookmarks with my Firefox bookmarks would be perfection!

Love the plug in already, this would just make it better.

  29. I really love foxmarks on my desktop, although the iphone version seems to lack my expectations. For one, every time i launch it i have to reenter my password, that's annoying. Also the top nav bar where it says "my foxmarks" in the above image gets replaced with my name and, well, its long, so the buttons are covering it up and this looks bad. Also how come i cant add a bookmark to a cool site on my iphone and have it sync back to my account to look at later on my desktop? Like i said, i love the service, im just bumed about the mobile version so far. Have you considered making an app for the iphone?

    Thanks
