Bay Area Foxmarks Users, We Need You

We’re looking for Foxmarks users in the San Francisco Bay Area to participate in a market research interview (aka focus group). We will be holding several evening sessions during the second or third week of October in downtown San Francisco. Each session will be 90 minutes long and we will provide you with generous compensation for your time.

If you're interested in participating, please click the link below and fill out a short form to tell us how to contact you. We will get back to you to arrange a date and time when you can join us.

Sign up to be in a Foxmarks Focus Group

  1. I am not in the SF area, so I can't attend - I'm in London, England - but I'd be interested to know what is the best online area for suggestions, feedback, whatever for Foxmarks.

The one I came here to request or suggest was a feature I very badly miss from Google Bookmarks Sync - specifically, reloading one's tabs from the last session. Firefox's built-in support seems very patchy on this and with Firefox 3 on Mac OS X, I'm getting repeated (infrequent, irregular but highly annoying) unexpected quits and it tends /not/ to reload my tabs. GBMS did this more or less without fail, including closing my browser one one PC and reopening it on a different one. It was a killer feature, perhaps of more immediate daily use than actually synching my bookmarks between browsers, and I miss it very badly.

  2. so if there isn't a proper space for feedback, i'll write here my whishes.
simply, i would like foxmarks to keep track of installed extensions.
    thank you

  3. @v1: Thanks for the feedback! We also have a thread on Get Satisfaction on that very topic, wherein we ask for some prioritization of the things we can possibly synchronize:

Feel free to add your thoughts there!

  4. It's October 9 and I think the focus groups are meeting today. I have submitted the survey to enlist (twice now) but have heard nothing back. It would be such a shame to be fortunate enough to live in San Francisco and not be called.

  5. Hi Todd,

We're sorry but we only had a limited number of spots and went through applicants in the order in which we received their names.

We appreciate you signing up and will try to notify you the next time we conduct such a study in the SF Bay Area.
