In the meantime, if you've already upgraded to Snow Leopard and miss your Xmarks for Safari, we have a working pre-release version if you simply can't wait another moment. Please see this post to our GetSatisfaction forum for all the release notes and caveats, as well as the download link. A few thousand people have already downloaded it and report happiness, so check it out and see if you'd like to join them!Once we've completed the regression suite with the latest bug fixes, we'll make it available from our download page. If you'd like to wait for the stable release, we'll post again here when it's ready.
Thanks again to all the users who've helped with early testing, and to all of you who've sent us words of encouragement as we've plowed through the myriad changes required for this upgrade.
Beta fails to install on Snow Leopard--get installation error notice after entering password.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the certificate used to sign the installer is being reported as expired - which is odd as it's not due to expire for a while yet. We're looking into it.

I keep getting errors. Just seeing if I could find the answer.
ReplyDelete@Gina: please follow the discussion on GetSatisfaction here: http://getsatisfaction.com/foxmarks/topics/snow_leopard_error
ReplyDeleteHopefully you can find answers there, or help us get to the bottom of any new errors you may be seeing.
I'm a little disappointed by the Xmarks support ... Snow Leopard betas have been distributed by Apple for developers to be prepared BEFORE launch. Forget before launch, forget on launch day, this (major, right?) issue has been outstanding even post-launch! What is the point of a beta cycle if you guys don't take advantage of this?
ReplyDelete@Sid: Well, considering the cost to be part of the group of people who get pre-release versions of OS X (with other benefits too, I'm sure; still not sure if they would outweigh the cost), I'm not really surprised. $400 is a lot (at least for me) to pay just to beta test an OS (especially one that would probably cost less once released). For that amount, I could almost buy a Mac Mini, and I could buy the Snow Leopard upgrade several times over.
ReplyDeleteAnd considering they haven't technically "released" Xmarks for Snow Leopard, you shouldn't really be surprised to find (at least) some bugs on that OS.

I didn't know where to suggest a new feature. So, the most annoying thing that I have to my toolbar, is that I don't like the texts on the icons, I would like to have an way to just have the text and choose the icon, and that could be synchronized between my firefoxes... Is there any development on this subject???
