Introducing SearchTabs from Xmarks

SearchTabs from XmarksAs we've blogged about before, we're working hard on improving Web Search using the collective intelligence of almost a billion bookmarks.

Earlier this month we released a new Firefox Add-on called SearchTabs. It's designed for information junkies (like you and me) that want to get the most out of each and every web search, and discover the best sites right on their Google page.

SearchTabs is still a work in progress, but we hope you'll give it a try and send us your feedback. Visit www.searchtabs.com as a shortcut to our Mozilla Add-ons page and install it.

One of our favorite tech pundits and bloggers, Om Malik, wrote a great piece about SearchTabs as an example of "Augmented Search" - extending and enhancing the results produced by Google and other leading search engines.

We hope you discover some great new sites with SearchTabs. You may encounter some tabs that have poor results or seem like they're duplicates of other tabs; If so, please flag them to help improve the product. It's easy: just click on the feedback buttons that appear in the tabs:
