We've been on a roll lately with tab sync. Three weeks ago we announced Tab Sync for Firefox. Two weeks ago, we announced parallel support for Internet Explorer and Chrome. This week, we're happy to announce that you can open remote tabs from your iPhone -- or any device with a browser.
To check it out, open your browser and log into your account at My Xmarks.com. If you're using an iPhone, you'll see something that looks like this:

Click the Open Tabs button to see a list of your computers, browsers, and their open tabs. Click on a tab and presto! It opens on your phone.
If you're using a browser on a desktop or laptop computer, you'll find Open Tabs in the Tools menu of My Xmarks.com:

Just click the Open Remote Tabs menu item to see the familiar display of all your open tabs.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
any chance this will work in china soon
ReplyDeletethis is great...
ReplyDeletebut what happen to xmarks standalone app instead of opening safari ti see my bookmarks?
and what happened to show passwords feature?
and what happened to integrate xmarks to update safari bookmarks?
please answer me...
It shows my open tabs on my computer browser, but not on the iphone. I tried forcing xmarks on chrome to overwrite server data but it does not work.
ReplyDelete@John Doe:
ReplyDeleteMake sure you're logging in on your iPhone to the same account that you're syncing to. If that doesn't work, contact support@xmarks.com with your Xmarks username and we'll investigate.
one word - Opera
ReplyDeleteWho cares, if even the basic sync does not work? The "error doing compare" has been out there for months and you have provided no good answers, except to force to overwrite bookmarks with some older version.
ReplyDeleteJust uninstalled XMarks yesterday on all my computers and went with Google Bookmark sync.
Working perfectly. Now the only thing left is history syncing... :)
ReplyDeleteWorks great!
ReplyDeleteNow we need it for android phones.
ReplyDeleteHi! Can't find the Open Remote Tabs option in the Safari add-on in the Preference system. How can I do this with Safari?
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot.
How about a Android app? Would be a very fine thing...
ReplyDeleteYou could make Google chrome's option on start reopening the last tabs which were on by last closeing the chrome to syncable between browsers ...
ReplyDeleteSimilarly to this feature at least just for chromes.
Thanks
Please support Opera browser too!! It would be perfect. Opera 10.5 is now a full fledged browser needing xmarks!
ReplyDeleteI like the new tab sync but i wondered if it works on xmarks mobile. None of the articles mentioned it. Not many people use it but i happen to use it plenty of times out on the field. Please update.
ReplyDelete@Lisa:
ReplyDeleteYou can open remote tabs from any device with a browser. Try it and let us know how it works for you.
