In case you missed it in the excitement of our acquisition announcement last week, we wanted to officially announce the release of our new Android app!
Xmarks Premium users can now download the app from the Android market to start accessing your desktop bookmarks and open tabs on your mobile device.
Launching the Xmarks app brings up a list of your folders and sites as you've arranged them in your desktop vault, allowing you to quickly scroll through to select a bookmark:

Tapping on one of your listed sites will launch the URL in your default browser:

In addition to easy access to your favorite sites, the Android app includes an Open Tab feature that lets you grab the URLs for any active tabs on your desktop. If you're running out the door and later need access to the sites you left open on your computer, you can easily access and launch them from your mobile device with Open Tab Sync.
There's a 2-week free trial for the Android app, so try it out before upgrading!
Nevermind, I found that out on my own. It looks like you can.
ReplyDeleteAre we able to modify bookmarks via this addon as well? Great news by the way.
ReplyDeletehow do u unblock websites. amber :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Already subscribed and downloaded both apps.
ReplyDeleteJust upgraded to premium and tried. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWow... we knew an Android app was in the works, but I had to assume it would be awhile before we saw, given the other things going on. Works great on my Motorola DroidX. Was glad to finally kick in some $$ to support. Kudos to all!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations I had no doubt on your not close. Premium Iranian user/FAN
ReplyDeleteGreat great great !!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy, because I love XMarks, and I love Lastpass !
2 of my prefered products together !
That's Christmas !
Yusssss, I'm so happy that x-marks lives and that I can get it for my Android devices...
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard about LastPass but I'll be sure to check it out too.
Hey, great work so far.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see xmarks is still alive.
I hope password-sync will come too.
Awesome, just read the old news that you guys will stay around and I must say that I am ecstatic!! You guys rock and have always rocked !!Keep up the excellent work.
ReplyDeleteThis is present for me, for new year. Pure Awesomeness... Gonna write an article about it, stay tuned...
ReplyDeleteOHh Yeah! Love to see two bigs come together :)
ReplyDeleteI have just paid to become a premium member and installed the app. I am now being told that I have "too many items" for the device (Xmarks on my HTC Desire) to sync.
ReplyDeleteI'm not happy with this at all. Whilst I do have a lot of bookmarks I've seen no warning that this could happen and have effectively just paid you for a service which I now cannot use.
That's a great feature and it reminds me, to become a premium member. I will sign up immediately. Thanks for the Tool.
ReplyDeletelove it !
ReplyDeleteAngry: We appreciate the feedback, and we're sorry to hear about the continued problems you've encountered.
ReplyDeleteThe best place to address the issue would be with the Support team, we're happy to investigate and provide any fixes. Please send us an email at support@xmarks.com with details if you would like to try to resolve the situation.
Hey guys. Congratulations on the merger, and remaining a viable business proposition.
ReplyDeleteIf you could also create a BlackBerry app then I'd be in with the $12 a year upgrade too. iPhones/Pads and Android smartphones are not the only ones out there, and they don't necessarily have the bulk of the market!
Tim
Congratulations on the merger (or whatever)! I am just happy that you are back. And by the way - great Android app.
