As excitement builds over the imminent release of Firefox 3, so has the clamor from our users for a version of Foxmarks that supports Mozilla’s new browser. We’re happy to announce that we’re now opening registration for interested testers for a new beta version of Foxmarks. This new version works with the latest beta of Firefox 3.
If you’re interested in participating in the beta test, just head over to beta.foxmarks.com to register. We’ll notify you when you can download, install, and start testing. Note that you’ll need a Foxmarks account to register for the program.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be admitting people into the program in increasing numbers, starting off slowly to make sure that serious problems are discovered early and their impact is minimized. As we gain confidence that everything looks good, we’ll be opening the doors wider. We expect that Foxmarks will be ready for general release well in advance of the Firefox 3 final release.
We really appreciate the enthusiasm that so many of you have expressed and are delighted to be able to work with you to produce a first-rate synchronization product for Firefox 3.
Update: March 4, 2008: It’s on! This evening, we admitted the first batch of beta testers. Interest in the beta test program has so greatly exceeded our expectations that we’ve only been able to admit the first 5% of volunteers. If you haven’t received your invitation yet, please be patient: it’s coming soon.
